How Leadership Can Help You Predict the Future

Do you remember our high school days? The fun, the frustration, the exhilaration, the angst of branching out maybe for the first time ever?

Trivial Pursuit

And of course, lots, and lots, and lots of studying. Memorization. Index cards. Final exams. Oy!

Almost like playing “Trivial Pursuit,” we pursued higher learning and excelled our treasures like:

  • Sin, cos, tan in trigonometry or
  • Water is a chemical compound contains two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen that are connected by covalent bonds or
  • The Battle of Hastings was fought on 1066 between the Norman-French and an English army beginning the Norman conquest of England

Brilliant Cleverness

Now, were you a geek? (I was .)

Nerd? (Maybe.)

A leader? (Absolutely!)

In some senses, you and I realized that now that we are all grown-up, we still understand and appreciate the structure, rigor and practice of our education and vocational aspects even today in this hectic environment.

Whether it’s business, science, medicine, law or others, if we can still be apprentices and continue to grow with the thirst of brilliant cleverness and willing to explore, then we can be “youthful,” no matter what the age.
